Job summary

The Sr Commercial Strategy analyst supports the US cement business by analyzing commercial data, implementing initiatives that boost revenue and working with regional commercial VPs to increase profits. The Analyst is expected to have strong analytical skills (advanced Excel) and ability to work under tight deadlines and with multidisciplinary and international teams.


Duties and Responsibilities

Support in the creation of presentations and analysis related to cement commercial for upper management

Coordinate strategic commercial initiatives across the US (Digital Model, CRM and CI Global)

Create new and manage existing market strategies (e.g New Market Entry, Exit Market)

Support and improve existing Continuous Improvement Process (e.g. data gathering and process optimization)

Communicate with Sales Managers to provide and collect intelligence and strategic recommendations

Propose strategies aimed to optimize revenue side of CEMEX’s USA cement business unit

Development and implementation of services and products that generate value to CEMEX and its customers

Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance, or  Economics required

Master’s Degree in Business, Finance or Marketing preferred

2-3 years of experience in strategy consulting or strategic planning, commercial, finance or marketing

Strong understanding of the principles of planning, strategy, marketing, sales, finance and economics

Strong drive and commitment, results and detail oriented

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A deep interest in how business process’ work and how to interact with executives

Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Must have good interpersonal skills

Organizational and time management skills

Must be able to travel as needed
