Imagine being part of a nimble team where your ideas and input have the potential to impact millions of lives. IRL - Social Calendar aims to solve technology addiction by bringing people together in real life. Our goal is to help our users engage more with friends to boost their overall happiness, encourage curiosity, and make the task of organizing hangouts a breeze.
With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing schools to become online in the Fall, being social on campus is going to fundamentally change. At IRL - Social Calendar we have the unique opportunity to support students and provide them the connections they would be missing out from as our network provides them the ability to be social on campus from afar. We are looking for outgoing, creative, and network-driven full-time students in their second or third year, either physically present on campus or remote, to be the connection between IRL and campus students. The Ambassador will preferably have project/event management experience, such as within the Student Union, Greek Life, or other places you have taken ideas to success.
Some of the tasks include helping us:
- Onboard student organizations onto IRL
- Encouraging students to download and use the app by posting on Facebook Groups, texting friends, blasting to mailing lists, etc.
- Find cool events going on in your school and post them to IRL
- Understand what students currently need and how IRL can meet those needs
Baseline: $500-$2,000/semester, depending on whether the Ambassador sticks to the core tasks or chooses to go above and beyond those mentioned.
Estimated time commitment: 5-10 hours/week
