Assistant Financial Representative
I am a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual, working out of Innsbrook. I’m looking for a student on track to graduate 2019 or 2020 to work flexible hours but average 10-20 hours a week while in school and 20-40 hours during the summers. I will educate and mold you into my financial advising practice so I can hire you full time as soon as you graduate. While you are in school, you will be paid $11 hourly, with bonuses for performance and clients you bring on yourself, and when you graduate you will be paid base salary + bonus/commission. My intent is to build a full service financial advisor that stays with my practice long term, who wants an unlimited ceiling potential for income, but will have a base salary and will not have the stress of building their own client base completely from scratch. Must pass multiple state/federal exams; you will immediately need to earn your life/health/annuities license and Series 6/63, then eventually after a few years, pass the Series 7/66, and then we'll discuss possible tracks for CFP, CLU, ChFC, RICP, etc. I will pay for your first attempt on those exams. Your primary role will be client-facing interactions, and secondary will be investment/insurance analysis and creating financial plans. No prior experience or financial education/major needed, I just need an internally motivated, hard worker who is hungry, humble enough to always learn, has impeccable moral character, would be comfortable calling new people, speaking to clients and asking them to take action.
