Position Summary: Corporate Relations Intern
The National MS Society is offering an exciting internship opportunity within the Development department. The unpaid internship can provide school credit and offers valuable experience in the non-profit, fundraising and event sponsorship through Corporate Relations. The office is in Houston near NRG stadium
We are currently looking to fill intern positions for students looking for a career in nonprofit, marketing, fundraising, and/or communications. Candidates must be self-motivated, a team player, results-oriented and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people living with and affected by MS.
This internship will assist with the execution of sponsorship agreements and events to achieve goals for BP MS 150 fundraising. Interns will be trained.
Coordinate the regional corporate development process to include tracking progress; ensuring successful activation of sponsorships; updating, creating, organizing and filing proposals, draft and revise contracts, creating recaps and additional documents pertaining to each corporate relationship
Support the Corporate Development manager on pharmaceutical submissions, including online grant application submission
Manage in kind Donation documentation
Prospecting for new Corporate Relationships in the Houston market
Office duties database management · Other duties as assigned.
Time Commitment: Interns are expected to work a minimum of 15 to 20 hours per week and must be available during typical working hours. Minimum Qualifications: Undergraduate students currently in or heading in into their junior or senior year with 3.0 GPA or higher are encouraged to apply. Strong knowledge of computer and data entry. Pleasant manner, dependable, people-oriented, comfortable public speaking and multi-tasking.
